Intake Specialist

Join our Homeownership division as an Intake Specialist working for our Hardest Hit Fund. This position is accountable for assisting Rhode Island homeowners to gather information necessary to apply for the Hardest Hit Funds programs.

The incumbent reviews intake packages for completeness. The incumbent pre-qualifies applicants to ensure they fall within appropriate grant indicated guidelines for the Hardest Hit Fund. The incumbent explains various program guidelines to homeowners in clear concise terms. The incumbent calculates monthly income and review budget with homeowners to strive towards financial fitness. The incumbent is responsible for referring homeowner’s additional resources if applicable. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining and updating personal pipeline on a daily basis to ensure files are processed in a timely manner. The incumbent is responsible for other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential mortgage lending, underwriting, servicing, or collections. Knowledge of loss mitigation guidelines with a working knowledge of prime and sub-prime loan products, modifications, forbearance agreements, bankruptcy laws, tax sales, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, knowledge of tax sales, experience with counseling tracking systems. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, finance or related field. Bilingual skills preferred.
